Aurora Borealis

 

The Aurora Borealis are a phenomena that occur in the northern hemisphere and can be easily seen in central to northern North America, Europe and in some cases Asia. The lights are caused by solar winds that disturb the magnetosphere. They have been associated with many cultures in these areas. They are beautiful and a must see at least once in your life. Below are some more photos I have taken. 

If you can bare the cold and dark the best time to witness aurora borealis is during the winter months when the sun goes down over the horizon.
